Good morning!
Book Update
This weekend I stopped by the Duraleigh Library Branch to find out that Start Small Selling is now in circulation across Wake County!
The book was also featured in a recent RalToday BizBrief Newsletter!
Coffee Shops
We used a rainy Memorial Day as an excuse to drive to Knightdale to check out Unhinged Coffee & C0. I highly recommend it. The shop perfectly fit my Venn diagram for old buildings and good coffee.
If you want to take a further road trip, check out The Table in downtown Asheboro!
Best Regards,

On to the Top Five! ⤵️
1) Build to Rent: Looking for a deep dive history and analysis of Build-to-Rent housing? Look no further!
2) Automated Parking: There is an automated parking garage now under construction at City Gateway.
3) Raleigh ParkScore: Raleigh came in at #49 for the 2026 ParkScore report from the Trust for Public Lands.
4) Housing: Raleigh builds more housing than average and our housing is more affordable than average. Our cost-to-income ratio is 4.3x and we build 117 homes per 1000 households. I’d love to see how this data compares to 5-10 years ago. Given my personal experience, I’d guess we were either well below average on cost-to-income ratio 5-10 years ago, or incomes had increased drastically. Does anyone have any insight to share?
5) Office to housing “conversion”: Three office buildings will be demolished to make away for more housing.
