Good morning!
Video Podcast Favor?
In the past few months, I’ve taken over as the host of the Barnhill Building Group’s podcast, Constructing the Carolinas! Can you do me a favor? Click the link here and check out my first episode with Coastal Credit Union and Ratio Design, available in both video and audio formats.
Favor: Check out the episode and reply here with one piece of advice for me to make future episodes better!
If you like what you see/hear, hit subscribe, we already have two more episodes recorded.
Meetup
Thanks again to everyone who came out to the Small Scale Raleigh meetup last week. It was a huge success! If you took any pictures, can you send them my way?
Best Regards,
Jed Byrne
P.S. Check out my new book 📚: Start Small Selling - helping A/E/C/ professionals turn expertise into opportunity.
On to the Top Five! ⤵️
1) Person Street: The Person Street Corridor is getting a new concept as the (ish) Delicatessen space transforms to Gallicchio's Market & Eatery.
2) Stadiums: With all of the MLB in Raleigh talk, I found this architect round-up of thoughts on the future of stadiums quite fascinating.
3) Bagels: The new North Hills location of Benchwarmers opened up on Thursday. I walked through on my way to Standard (delicious), and I was happy to see it packed out!
4) Global Affordability: I was pretty shocked to see some of these high global housing-cost-to-income ratios. I guess things aren’t so bad here.
5) Time and Date Building: The Time and Date Building across from Crabtree Valley Mall sold recently for $9.5m. The headline stat for me, however, was the price per square foot number. I was excited to see the building trade at $294/sf which is higher than a lot of the other office trades I’ve seen in the past few years.
